I am Janina Johnson, and I began my Sisterlocks® journey in 2019.
In 2023, I became a Certified Sisterlocks® Consultant, and in 2024, I expanded my training to include Microlocks. I specialize in Sisterlocks® and Microlocks, offering expert care for natural hair. My goal is to provide personalized consultations and services tailored to your unique style and hair journey.As the owner of OPS, I’m committed to creating a warm, professional, and relaxing environment where your natural hair journey feels personalized, supported, and stress-free. Whether you prefer the official Sisterlocks® technique or a custom Microlocks look, my mission is to help you embrace your natural beauty with confidence. Your Journey

ConsultationWe’ll talk through your hair history, styling preferences, lifestyle, and goals.
I’ll install sample locks to determine the best locking pattern for your hair type and share details about maintenance, phases, pricing, and next steps.InstallationInstallation may take up to 18+ hours, typically across 2–3 days depending on hair length and density.
You’ll receive a Starter Kit (for Sisterlocks®) or tailored instructions for Microlocks, plus your first follow-up appointment.Follow-Up VisitScheduled within one month of installation (after at least two shampoos).
I’ll complete your first retighten, answer questions, and assess your progress.
Ongoing retightens are usually every 4–6 weeks, depending on your hair.

Consultation

Required before all new installations. Pricing may vary based on hair length, density, and lock size.

Consultation — $502 hours — Non-refundable
Applied toward your installation cost after your appointment is completed.

Sisterlocks® / Microlocks Installation

~16 hours total, may be completed over 2–3 days.
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your installation date.

Installation Follow-Up

2 hours — Included in installation cost.
Ensures your locks are settling properly and includes your first full retightening.

Retightening

Prices depend on weeks since your last appointment.
Additional time beyond the base is $25/hour.

4–6 weeks: Starting at $1007–8 weeks: Starting at $150 (includes $50 deposit)9+ weeks: Starting at $175
Includes $50 deposit + $75 for matted hair (if applicable). Consultation required.

Perimeter Retightening

For clients needing maintenance around edges or specific areas.
